The Volunteer Centre are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO no: 1157707). Formed in 1975, over the years we have evolved from Meals on Wheels to provide a range of services including community minibuses, medical car services, lunch clubs, and social groups. For 40 years we have met the needs of the communities of Castle Donington and the surrounding villages. We support a diverse range of people, in particular those who are older, disabled, or infirmed, plus local groups (sports clubs, art groups, lunch clubs). We have a large number of volunteers supported by a small staff team. Governance is provided by an experienced Board of Trustees.
