Castle Donington Cemetery

The Cemetery, located on The Barroon (DE74 2PF) in Castle Donington, is owned and maintained by the Parish Council whose mission is to provide a respectful and dignified environment for the interment and remembrance of the people who lived in the Parish. Visitors to the Cemetery are welcomed and asked to respect and share the pride taken in its appearance and maintenance.
Castle Donington Parish Council is responsible for maintenance of the grounds and Garden of Remembrance, burials, interments, and permissions for the erection of memorials. Safety Checks are undertaken on headstones and memorials as part of an ongoing Health and Safety procedure.
Did you know that near the entrance to the Cemetery is a small hedge-enclosed space with the grave markers of some 18 German soldiers who dies during the First World War at Castle Donington Prisoner of War camp? Now known as Donington Hall.
