Letters To Santa 24
From 20th November to 20th December, The Community Hub hosts a special Santa's Postbox. Children can drop off their letters to Santa, and as long as they include their name and address on the back of the letter, they will receive a magical reply from Santa himself! It's a wonderful way to add a touch of festive cheer and excitement to the holiday season.
Christmas Tree Festival
The Castle Donington Christmas Tree Festival offers a fantastic platform to showcase your business, organization, or club to a wide audience. By participating in this joyous event, you can gain valuable exposure and connect with the local community. Decorate your own unique Christmas tree, highlighting your entity's identity, products, or values. This is an opportunity not only to promote your brand but also to engage with potential customers, clients, or members in a festive and relaxed setting.
With its official opening on 2 December, this festival is an unmissable opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit. Best of all, entry to the festival is absolutely free for everyone!
The Community Hub Café will serve a festive food menu, featuring seasonal treats, warm beverages, and delectable delights. Take a break from exploring the festival, indulge in delightful flavours, and recharge while enjoying the cosy ambiance of the café.
Visitors to the festival are encouraged to make voluntary donations. All proceeds will go towards supporting the East Midlands Air Ambulance, making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
Santa's Grotto
Santa's Grotto is back by popular demand! Come on down and see the big man himself!
Open at the Community Hub on Saturday 21st December 10am - 1pm. £5.00 per child including a gift.

Throughout the event there will be great opportunities to have photos with Santa, a few Christmassy stalls and crafts along with Christmas background music.

Breakfast with Santa
New to the Community Hub!
Breakfast with Santa is the best way to start off you Christmas. For only £10.00 per person this includes a full breakfast (bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, egg and toast) along with a gift for all children. All adults will receive a large portion of the full breakfast.
Throughout the event there will be great opportunities to have photos with Santa, a few Christmassy stalls and crafts along with Christmas background music.
Starting at 8:30am, with breakfast served at 8:45am and finishing just before 10:00 am.

Celebrate Christmas in Castle Donington – Christmas Cheer an Afternoon to Remember
Get ready to embrace the Christmas spirit as Castle Donington hosts its Christmas Cheer event on Saturday, 30th November 2024 from 3pm-7pm in Borough Street and Market Street.
Christmas lights parade and switch-on - meeting in the churchyard at 4.30pm and along to the Market Place for 5pm.
With an exciting line-up of live performances, family-friendly activities, festive stalls, and a special appearance from Santa and his reindeers.
Live performances from:
- Got2Sing Choir,
- Rolls Royce brass Band,
- Leicestershire and Rutland Pipe Band,
- Candyfloss Entertainment (girl band),
- Cheerleaders,
- Dorothy Ella - back by popular demand.
Meet & greet Santa and his reindeer - great photo opportunities for young and not so young!
Meet & greet with Disney characters Elsa and her friends.
See the amazing snow themed stilt walkers, and watch as they light up as it gets dark.
Punch and Judy, balloon modelling and bubbleoligst - some exciting entertainment for the little ones as Mum and Dad do a bit of festive shopping at the local shops and stalls.

Car parking information
A full road closure will be in force from 1pm on Saturday 30 November for the Castle Donington lights switch on.
This will affect Market Street, Market Place, Apiary Gate, St Anne's Lane, Borough Street and Church Lane.
No access or egress will be permitted for any vehicle between the hours of 1pm and 8pm unless they are part of the event.
This includes Borough Street carpark, behind the doctor's surgery.
Car parking is available at the Community Hub, Clapgun Street and the College on Mount Pleasant.
We will have marshals on duty from about 11am, speaking to those who are seen parking, to advise them that the closure order will come into effect from 1pm.
